"You don't have to do it alone. We were never meant to."

I’m Wende and I am so grateful you have landed here on this page as you are looking into therapy. There are countless reasons you may be drawn to seek support at this time, and I am hopeful you will soon find “your person” to engage in therapy with, whether it be me or another professional. Taking that next step often brings along with it all sorts of ideas, emotions, expectations, and sometimes questions…
Even looking at this very website is a courageous step for many women.
Perhaps it is intimidating, confusing, or downright scary to move towards therapy at this time. Maybe it is exciting, comforting, or relieving. And for goodness sakes, it could be all-of-the-above. One of the things I know is that our ability to experience many emotions at the same time is oh-so-real, and oftentimes, overwhelming. Whatever is true for you, I am still very thankful you have landed here!
Sometimes what moves us towards seeking therapy is a mental health issue such as anxiety, depression, and/or trauma. And other times, it may be something we have encountered in our life that involves our relationships, school/work dynamics, natural transitions, unwanted changes, painful events, the health challenges, or even the view we have of ourselves. These are just a few ideas of what might bring a woman into therapy, but I humbly realize there are truly many more possibilities. And I would deeply appreciate the opportunity to hear your story…

About Your Provider
Wende Wolfe, LPC
In my therapy practice, I focus on providing therapy for women. I have been in the field of mental health for over 25 years, and have settled happily into a season of working solely with females, whether it be during the launch into early adulthood, the demands of further education, the development of a career, the adjustments of relationships and family life, the challenges of mid-life, or any of the other transitions involved in the life of being a woman. I am also keenly aware that therapy is not always about the present day and instead may be about healing some of the hurts of the past.
